GENERAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join Team Polar. You will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of electronics for our vehicle, including energy management, power electronics, and overall system architecture. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, experience in system design and integration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement an overall system architecture for all electronics in the vehicle, including energy management, power electronics, and control systems.

  • Design, select and develop electrical components and systems for the vehicle, such as battery management systems, motor controllers, and power distribution systems.

​​

  • Ensure that all electrical components and systems are integrated seamlessly into the vehicle's overall architecture, meeting performance and safety requirements.

​​

  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, including mechanical and software engineers, to ensure that all systems work together effectively.

​​

  • Design and implement testing and validation procedures to ensure that all electrical systems meet performance and safety requirements.

​​

  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and integrate the latest technologies into our designs where appropriate.

​​

  • Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the team as required.

​​

  • Collaborate with external suppliers and partners as required, to ensure that we have access to the latest technologies and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in Electrical Engineering

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, analog and digital electronics, and control systems.

​​

  • Experience in the design and development of battery management systems, motor controllers, and power distribution systems.

​​

  • Experience with simulation tools and modeling software, such as MATLAB and Simulink.

​​

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential issues.

​​

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

​​

  • Experience with safety-critical systems and compliance standards, such as ISO 26262, is a plus.
