INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

Team Polar is seeking a highly skilled and creative designer to lead the modeling and development of our rover's bodywork. Within this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing the bodywork, aerodynamics, and aesthetic of the vehicle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that the design of the bodywork aligns with the technical requirements of the vehicle.

Create 3D models of the rover's bodywork, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Design and develop the aerodynamics of the vehicle, taking into consideration factors such as air resistance and lift.

Develop the aesthetic of the vehicle, including color schemes, branding, and graphic design.

Conduct research and gather inspiration from a variety of sources to inform design decisions.

Present design concepts and prototypes to the team, incorporating feedback to refine the design.

Work with external vendors and partners to source materials and oversee production of the bodywork.

Ensure that the final product meets all design specifications and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficiency in Industrial Design, Vehicle Design, or a related field.

Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as CAD.

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for vehicle bodywork.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
